A well known sight along Lewes road, the Gladstone pub has stood the test of time, albeit going through a few revamps and decorations. With friendly staff and a new menu on offer, this is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a new pub to tick off. But what many people are unaware of when passing by is the great garden area they have out the back. Of course, even during the winter you will feel incredibly cosy out there, with heat lamps and overhead covering to keep out the rain. You will occasionally find live music being played, while they also run a number of student deals, so don’t forget your NUS card.
