Based on Gloucester road, the Basketmakers is one of the most popular pubs in the North Laines, directly opposite the Eagle. One of the nicest things about this pub is it still has the same landlord who has been handling the pub for 3 decades now, meaning locals feel a strong attachment to the pub. A friendly atmosphere and a popular option for after work drinks, the Basketmakers has won numerous awards over the years as one of Brighton’s best pubs. They have a great range of ales, while there food is served from midday all the way up until 9pm. The pub has a vintage feel, with wooden décor and picture frames, it makes you feel homely and warm, however they have also embraced a modern menu to become a true gastro pub.
