Description

The King and Queen, or Ye Old King & Queen as it is properly known, is a well known sight for anyone visiting Brighton and wanting a good pint. Known for holding a big screen and packing out on the weekends when the football is on, this is one of the largest pub houses in the entirety of Brighton. While the present building has stood since the 1930’s, there has been a King & Queens pub on this site since 1779, making it one of the most historic sights in the city. Of course, the mock tudor imagery is just a shot back to the image of those times, utilising 16th century Vernacular architecture.
It’s location is along the Old Steine, with greenery right outside the front and a short walk to the Royal Pavilion. You can also arrange events at this pub, including weddings and conferences, or even retirement parties, while you can also expect your fair share of stag and hen parties to come along during peak hours. When people first arrive, they’re often unaware of the decent sized garden space they have, making this an added option for your chosen spot to sit, not to mention the sizable upstairs section, complete with a pool table.
